The JT Farm team concluded the 2020 Winter Equestrian Festival circuit at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida, with many achievements and accolades from January through March. Ellen Toon and Gabriel finished the 10-week circuit on a high note, earning the 3'6" Amateur-Owner Hunter, 36 and over, championship during the final week, which concluded on March 15. The pair won both over fences classes on the second day with scores of 86 and 87! Ellen and the attractive 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Azteca VDL x Ribaliah H.B.) also earned tricolor honors during WCHR Week 6, arguably the most competitive hunter week on the circuit. They earned two scores of 87 to win two over fences classes, as well as receive a third place. Ellen is thankful for her trainers: her husband, Jimmy Toon, as well as Rodney Bross, who have been instrumental in her success. “[Gabriel] is on your side,” said Ellen. “He doesn’t look to do anything bad. When he goes how he was tonight, which we weren’t expecting because we have never shown him this late, then anybody could ride him. He was so easy.” Gabriel also captured the 3'9" Green Hunter reserve championship during WEF 10 with Tori Colvin aboard for a fantastic finish, including an impressive victory in the stake class JT Farm kept Tori busy in the open sections throughout the winter. She also guided Playmaker to top ribbons in the 3'3' Performance Hunters during the WEF circuit, including wins in classes with 50+ horses. Tori and JT Farm's Tyrion captured the 3'3" Performance Hunter championship during Week 9, winning two classes and placing second in two others out of 50+ horses! The pair earned impressive scores of 91 and 89 for their winning efforts! Margot Peroni and her horses Q The Music, Limited Edition and First Class collected top ribbons and honors in the 3'3" Amateur-Owners and USHJA Hunters consistently during circuit. A highlight was Margot and Q The Music winning reserve championship honors during WEF 5 with beautiful rounds! Kimberly Maloomian and her hunters Finch Hatton and Light It Up also shined on the WEF circuit. Highlights included blue ribbons in the 3'6" and 3'3" Amateur-Owner, 36 and over, sections.
